熟词僻义是指某一单词有多个义项，同学们熟悉的往往是这个单词较常用的一或两个义项，但在雅思阅读中往往考的是不常用的某一义项。出现这些熟词僻义常会造成误解或阅读障碍，特别是当文章的关键词是一个僻义。下面我们先来看两个雅思阅读真题：
